Orders and delivery

Card checkout is being added. Until it is live, use the enquiry form on any product page — tell us the pattern, size and quantity — and we will confirm the order, the lead time and payment directly.

• Where is my order? Every parcel ships with tracking, sent when it leaves. If tracking has not moved in a week, write to us and we will chase it rather than asking you to.
• How long does it take? In-stock patterns dispatch in two to three working days; anything tied to order takes seven to ten on the bench. Transit is 7-14 working days to the US, UK and EU. See shipping.
• Do you ship to my country? We ship worldwide. Destinations, times and costs are on the shipping page.
• Will I pay duty? Possibly, depending on the destination. We declare goods accurately and at their real value, and we will not mark a parcel as a gift.

Problems and returns

• Something is faulty. If a fly was not tied to the published spec, send a photograph and your order reference. No time limit, and you do not need to post it back. See our guarantee.
• I changed my mind. Unused items go back within 30 days for a refund. Tell us before you post so we can match it to your order. See returns.
• I ordered the wrong size. Tell us. Swapping a dozen #14s for #16s is easy and we would rather you had the right flies.
• Something is missing from my parcel. Write to us with the order reference and we will send it, not investigate you.

Choosing what to buy

• I am new to this. Read our guide to a first fly box, or start with The Starter Dozen — six patterns that cover most trout water for a season.
• Which hook size? The middle of the range we list, if in doubt. Our hook size guide explains why dropping two sizes fixes most refusals.
• What is the difference between tungsten and brass? Tungsten sinks about twice as fast at the same bead size. It is the reason to pay more for the tungsten version.
• Do you sell rods and reels? No. That is a different business with different economics, and we would rather be good at flies.
