Driftline Goods
Our guarantee
We guarantee the tying. We cannot guarantee the fishing, and anyone who does is selling something.
What is covered
If a fly does not match the specification published on its product page — wrong hook size, wrong bead material, a head that unravels, a fly that is visibly not the pattern described — tell us and we will replace it or refund it. That is a defect and it is ours.
It applies for the life of the fly, not for a window. A head that comes apart in the third season was tied badly in the first.
What is not covered
Flies wear out. Hackle gets crushed, dressings get chewed, hooks get blunt on rocks and rusty if they are boxed wet. A fly that has caught fish and then failed has done its job.
We also make no claim about how many fish a fly will catch. Nobody honestly can. Fly choice is a small part of a day on the water compared with drift, position and timing — which is why we publish guides on those rather than catch claims.
How to claim
Write to us with a photograph of the fly and your order reference. We do not need you to post it back for us to believe you. If it is a tying fault we would rather see the photograph, because it tells the bench something.
