Three materials, thirty seconds at the vice, and one of the highest fish-per-fly ratios of anything you can tie. Midge pupae are available to trout every single day of the year, and in cold or heavily fished water they are often the only thing being eaten. The red body doubles as a bloodworm suggestion in stillwaters. Fish it small, fish it deep, and do not be tempted to strip it.
